Fırat University School of Foreign Languages Holds World Children's Rights Day Event

As part of World Children's Rights Day on November 20th, faculty members and
volunteer students from Fırat University School of Foreign Languages visited the
Children's Houses Site affiliated with the Elazığ Provincial Directorate of Family and
Social Services. The "Learning English with Fun" event, organized as part of the visit,
included interactive and educational activities with children aged 6–14.
Throughout the event, children were offered age-appropriate games, group activities,
and basic English conversation activities. The program aimed to increase children's
motivation to learn a foreign language, as well as contribute to the development of
social interaction and self-confidence.
Prof. Dr. Seda Arıkan, Director of the School of Foreign Languages, stated that such
social responsibility activities with children are important for both developing social
awareness and integrating language education into everyday life. Volunteer students
who participated in the event expressed that spending time with children was
meaningful and inspiring for them. Fırat University School of Foreign Languages

announced that it plans to continue its social contribution-focused work in the coming
period.
