Our Deputy Director, Lecturer Dr. Esra Karatepe, participated in the international
conference "11th International Conference on Language, Literature & Culture:
Humanities in the Digital Age," hosted by Batman University on October 17-18, 2025,
with a presentation.
Lecturer Dr. Esra Karatepe presented her paper titled "Digital Archives and Memory:
Ethics of Digitizing the Past in Ian McEwan's Machines Like Me."
The conference, which attracted scholars from various countries in the fields of
English language, literature, and culture, addressed the transformation of the
humanities in the digital age. In her presentation, Lecturer Dr. Esra Karatepe
contributed to important discussions at the intersection of literature and digital culture
by focusing on digital archives, ethics, and the digitization of memory.
