Students from departments that do not have a preparatory program may, if they wish, apply online to take the Exemption Exam for the courses YDİ107, YDİ108, YDİ207, and YDİ208. Students who score between 70 and 84 on the YDMS exam—scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 13:00 in the School of Foreign Languages classrooms—may be exempted from the YDİ107 and YDİ108 courses; those who score 85 or higher may be exempted from the YDİ207 and YDİ208 courses (if applicable).
Participation in the exam is not mandatory. Students who do not take the exam will not face any disadvantages and will take the compulsory YDİ English courses via distance education without any attendance requirement, following the standard procedure.

- Students wishing to take the YDMS exam are required to submit an application. Applications will be accepted on September 15, 16, 17, and 18.
- Students who do not apply within the specified period cannot take the exam.
- The application link will be added to this announcement. No further action is required after the relevant form has been filled out and submitted.
- Only students taking the specified YDİ courses for the first time are eligible. Students in departments with a compulsory preparatory program cannot take this exam.
- Students will not be admitted to the exam hall after the exam has started; therefore, students must be present in the exam hall at least 10 minutes before the scheduled exam time.
- Entering the exam with digital devices such as mobile phones or smartwatches is prohibited.
- Students must have their student ID card, national ID card, or any other official identification document with them during the exam.
- Students from departments with a mandatory preparatory program cannot participate in this exam.

- All the rules and directives have been stated above.
-For students who successfully pass the exam, letter grades for the relevant Foreign Language (YDİ) courses will be assigned in accordance with the current “Fırat University Directive on Exemption and Academic Adjustment Procedures.” Under the current directive, the grading scheme is as follows:
