Mission
As the School of Foreign Languages, our mission is to address the foreign language deficiencies of newly enrolled students in departments where education is conducted partially or entirely in a foreign language. We aim to assist students identified as having language-related challenges during proficiency testing, ensuring they do not encounter difficulties in their future studies and are able to use the language they have learned with ease. Furthermore, a key part of our mission is to provide support to students sent abroad for educational purposes by state institutions—such as the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Ministry of National Education—in overcoming their foreign language deficiencies.
Vision
The vision of the School of Foreign Languages is to maximize the quality of education and training, and to offer rational solutions to the foreign language-related challenges faced by students and stakeholders seeking education. We aim to introduce students attending preparatory classes not only to language instruction but also to the culture and mindset associated with the language they are learning, while establishing the necessary infrastructure for those wishing to learn a second foreign language beyond the mandatory requirements. In doing so, we aspire to contribute to Fırat University's achievements in the national and international arenas and to attain a distinguished position among similar educational institutions.
